We believe it is worth noting that for quite a long time, the only portions of the VOY undershirts that were ever seen on screen were the collar, sleeve cuffs (and perhaps a bit of the sleeve), and a sliver of the chest's center front where the jumpsuit's front opening was.

That was a one-of-a-kind event at the time, though, and we saw no remarkable details other than what we assume were standard-issue Starfleet boxer shorts apparently made from the same gray cotton lycra as the uniform undershirt.
We briefly saw Worf wearing what looked like his uniform undershirt briefly at the beginning of Deep Space Nine's mid-season 4 episode, "Rules of Engagement," but we found little noteworthy about it except that he was wearing shoulder pads underneath it:

We got another quick peek in Voyager's third season episode "Sacred Ground," but again, it was but a brief and partial one:

Not surprisingly, the underlayers for the VOY-style uniform were fully revealed (and indeed, likely created) almost immediately after the release of First Contact (during which TNG's Captain Picard gradually went through the layers of the new uniforms over the course of the movie) in Voyager's mid-season 3 episode "Macrocosm":

Even then, though, not much construction detail was visible, as Janeway quickly removed the undershirt and spent most of the remainder of the episode in a tank-top.
It would be several more years before the VOY undershirts would begin to be seen on their own, apart from the VOY jacket and/or the upper half of the jumpsuit (i.e. just the pants and undershirt).

It wouldn't be until the beginning of Voyager's fifth season that the uniform undershirts were featured somewhat more prominently, as that was also when the VOY jackets were introduced to the show.
It was about halfway through Voyager's fifth season that the "female hero undershirt" made its first appearance.

A couple episodes later in "Gravity," Tom Paris wore their "magic undershirts" that opened in the front, and Tom wore his "magic tank top" that transformed into a "hero T-shirt":
Harry Kim got to sport his undershirt and his new VOY jacket a few episodes later in "The Disease":

And near the end of the season, Chakotay got to sport his in the episode "Warhead":
The VOY men's undershirts were seldom (if ever) featured after Voyager's fifth season, however (except Tuvok in the early seventh season episode "Repression" - see below).
Janeway occasionally wore her "female hero undershirt," and Torres got upgraded to one as well near the end of the following season in "Muse" (see our "Female Hero Undershirt" section).
The aforementioned exception was during Voyager's early seventh season episode "Repression," during which Tuvok wore his undershirt for much of the episode.
